The flame detectors FL20BI are formed by a special Optical Head made ??of stainless steel AISI 316 (FL20BI) separated from the rest of the electronics. The Optical Head therefore allows for installation in environments where the plants present mechanical robustness and where the space available for installation are restricted.
The detector is able to detect within a few seconds a flame produced by a fire within his field of vision. It finds particular application in the places where it is assumed that a fire may develop quickly, such as in warehouses of petroleum products, paints, plastics, alcohols, etc.. Important element is the fact that the optical head detection consists of two types of infrared sensors, each with a different vision window in the infrared spectral range. It is obtained in this way a great operational safety and immunity to false alarms. Some optical filters have been provided to let pass the infrared radiation and block other light radiation. The operating principle is based on the detection of infrared radiation emitted by a flame. The circuitry and advanced electronic components used, make the detector very efficient and at the same time highly immune to false alarms products typically natural or produced by perturbations in the protected environment. The processing electronics housing is made of self-extinguishing polycarbonate IP65 and presents qualities of ruggedness and easy installation
